For parents and caregivers

Learning that hides inside a story

Annamaria's Wonder World is a series of short animated adventures for children of roughly two to five. Each one teaches a little, repeats it gently, and asks your child to join in. Here is exactly what that means.

What children learn

Letters (now)
Letter names and sounds, uppercase first, four words per letter. Phonics-checked: words start with the sound the letter usually makes, and the exceptions are labelled on each letter page.
Words (next)
Everyday objects, animals, food, places and actions.
Numbers, colours and shapes
Counting, comparing, matching and patterns.
Language
Short sentences, questions and answers, opposites, describing.
The world around us
Animals, plants, weather, water, sky, the body.
Feelings and habits
Sharing, patience, helping, naming emotions, everyday routines.

How every adventure is built

  1. A hookSomething small is wrong: a glow went out, a package bounced away, a star fell.
  2. A goalAnnamaria and a friend decide to fix it, and the letter of the day appears.
  3. Four wordsEach word is an object in the story, said clearly and shown at the same moment.
  4. A question for your childAnnamaria asks, pauses, and waits. The answer actually changes what happens next.
  5. A surprise and a solutionSomething funny or unexpected, then the problem is solved together.
  6. A recap and a teaseThe letter and words return once more, and the Magic Book shows the next letter.

Why it works this way

  • Story before lesson. Children remember what happened to a character long after they forget a flashcard.
  • Participation. A real pause after each question gives your child time to answer out loud, and the story rewards the answer.
  • Repetition without monotony. Each word is said about three times per episode, in different moments, never as a drill.
  • Clear speech, short sentences. Lines are two to seven words. One character speaks at a time.
  • Calm pacing, nothing frightening. Shots last more than a second and a half, nothing flashes, and anything big turns out friendly in the same scene.
  • Watching together helps most. Pause, repeat the word, ask your own question. The episode page lists the words and goals so you can.

We describe what the series practises; we do not make medical or developmental promises. Every child learns at their own pace.

Safe by design

  • No ads on this website.
  • No accounts, logins, profiles or messages.
  • No comments, chat or uploads.
  • No tracking, analytics or cookies on this site.
  • Games ask for nothing and save nothing: no scores, streaks or prizes.
  • Videos never autoplay. Letters are read aloud only when tapped.
  • Nothing is collected from you or your child.

If any of this changes, it will be written here first. See the privacy page.

Where the videos live

  • Our episodes are published on our YouTube channel (opens in a new tab), marked as made for kids. On YouTube that means comments are off and ads, if any, are never personalised.
  • On this website a video appears as a still picture first. Nothing loads from YouTube until you tap play, and then it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced player.
  • When a video ends, YouTube may suggest other videos from our channel. Stay nearby so you can choose what comes next.

Suggested path

Start with Letter A and go in order: one letter per sitting is plenty. Watch the adventure first, then open the letter page and tap the four words together. Come back to a favourite world any time; repetition is the point.
